For the rest of you ... just for fun, here is some of my poetry (I make no claims as to its greatness!) and
eventually the poetry of some friends. Copyrights remain with the original poet.
Breathless

Breathless
I wait
Lost in the moment
I take your breath as my own.
Drawing you deep inside me.

Breathless
You, hard against me
Your heartbeat under my lips
I feel your breath
Where I have none.

Breathless
Until the end
When you withdraw
And I’m alone
To learn to breathe again.
The Art of Seduction
“A picture’s worth a thousand words.”
No artist, I, and perhaps no poet.
Yet pictures fail where words succeed
And words themselves may yet fail me.

For how does an artist paint
A smile that starts in your eyes,
Gone hazy with passion.
Although she could paint your eyes, could
She put that look in them, that look that says you
want me.

Can brush and oil, show the taste of lips
That meet mine, the heat of desire
Burning as they fit over mine.
Or merely trace their shape?

The curve of jaw, but not the feel
Under my fingertips.
The line of throat, but not the beat of
Your heart under my mouth.

Not the touch of your hands,
Or the strength of you against me,
Tongue and teeth and …
No, no artist, yet I can paint a picture in my mind
And create a masterpiece of desire.
