| The scent of jasmine on a sultry summer night, a garden of roses in full bloom, dancing in the rain, having your cards read by a fortuneteller named Madame Rosa ... fate, romance, suspense ... all these and more await you in the romance novels and short stories of Lara Dien. |

| What's new: Cover for The Fortuneteller's Lay!
Here's the blurb: Miranda knows it was fate that brought Devon into her fortunetelling tent, fulfilling her grandmother’s prophecy. But the sexy detective doesn’t believe in fate – he’s just looking for a hiding place while he figures out his next move. Can Miranda convince him that love is really in the cards?

| Featured Tarot Card : Hah! I pulled the King of Water/Soothsayer card (this is from the Wild Spirit deck) in a purely random, from the middle of the deck, pull. The interesting part of this is that this is the card featured in my upcoming short story, "The Fortuneteller's Lay." The King of Cups, traditionally, is the God of Love, although that's a description that does not give him his due. More accurately, he symbolizes the mastery of emotion, not in a controlling way, but in the sense of, say, a Zen master. The card also symbolizes psychic mastery -- a fitting card to be at the center of "The Fortuneteller's Lay." |
